- This compilation was done on NEXTSTEP 3.3 with the hppa, sparc,
- i386, and m68k development environments installed.
-
- This version seems to work fine on NEXTSTEP 3.3, but gives problems
- when running on 3.2. I gave up trying to compile it on 3.2 because
- 3.2's posix implementation is broken. If you want nvi, you are
- better off upgrading to NEXTSTEP 3.3.
-
- As of 1.57, Keith Bostic has switched nvi over to GNU's autoconf
- system. nvi no longer needs to be ported with every release now.
- I am contact with Keith Bostic so that each release compiles right
- out of the box. Yay!
-
- Keep in mind that by default, /tmp gets cleaned out when
- NEXTStEP reboots. This means that /tmp/vi.recover will be removed
- unless you decide to change things around in /etc/rc.
-
- As always, use at your own risk.
